Due to our commitment to decentralization and fierce and passionate community, we've decided to hand over the important act of approving project partnerships to the community by introducing the Community Verified Projects (CVP) branch of the CEG. For projects, this milestone marks an opportunity to engage with our community, educate, and build relationships from the beginning. To prepare for voting, Metis is encouraging the community to interact with projects to learn more about their protocols and values. Project builders can participate in the CVP to increase social media engagement, community discussion, and demonstrate their value. Together with Metis Advocates, Builders should present their project to the community and, conduct a Q\&A (Twitter Spaces, Telegram/Discord AMA) with Metis Advocates before/during the Snapshot Vote. The template is provided for convenience in drafting your proposal. ### Community Review This process involves a review of the project by the Metis community. The community will provide questions, feedback, and discuss your project. During this period, after you have published your Ecosystem Proposal, please contact the Metis Team for timely publication of your proposal for community review. ### Snapshot Voting The voting period is 5 days and is published on [Metis Snapshot](https://proposals.ceg.vote). During this 5 day period, the project must meet the required quorum. Projects that pass the vote will be granted Community Verified Project status. file: ./content/docs/cvp/guide/index.mdx meta: { "title": "Participation Guide" } The CVP Branch exists to provide a pathway to projects looking to be verified and elected by the community. Verification/approval of Projects will be executed on Metis’ open forum ceg.vote, followed by a community voting on [Snapshot](https://proposals.ceg.vote/). Under the new Optimistic Quorum model, a proposal is rejected only if AGAINST votes exceed the quorum (5,000 METIS). Otherwise, it is accepted. This means that proposals will be approved by default unless the community actively votes against them with a strong enough consensus. The 5-day vote period gives the community time to review, conduct research, and identify any potential risks or red flags. Projects that pass the vote will be granted Community Verified Project status. The subsequent pages illustrate a step-by-step tutorial on the entire activities of the CVP program, that is the role of the community and what it takes for a project to become a Community Verified Project.
